There’s something special about a wedding day that feels equal parts heartfelt and joyful. Morgan and Connor’s June wedding at Peachtree Pointe on Lake Lanier Islands was exactly that. Every part of their celebration reflected the love they share with one another and the people closest to them. And, although June brought plenty of heat, the North Georgia weather couldn't have been more beautiful.
A Full Weekend Celebration
One of the things we love most about working with our couples is having the opportunity to tell the complete story of their wedding experience.
Morgan and Connor chose our full weekend coverage, which meant we were there to capture their welcome party the evening before, followed by twelve hours of wedding day coverage with our four-person photography and videography team. Having that extra time together allowed us to document every chapter of their celebration, from the anticipation before the ceremony to the excitement of the final send-off, without anyone feeling rushed.
It's one of the biggest advantages of full-weekend coverage. Instead of watching the clock, our couples can simply enjoy their day, knowing every meaningful moment has the space it deserves.
Thoughtfully Planned, Together
Long before the wedding day arrived, Morgan, Connor and I spent time planning every part of the photo+video experience together.
One of my favorite parts of serving our couples is helping them build a timeline that reflects what matters most to them and not simply following a template. As we worked through the details, we made sure every important moment had its own intentional space throughout the day.
That included a private first look between Morgan and Connor before the ceremony, quiet time with her bridesmaids, photographs in the groom's suite while everyone got ready, and one of the sweetest moments of the day: a first look between Morgan and her dad.
Because everything was thoughtfully planned ahead of time, the day flowed naturally. Nothing felt hurried, and every meaningful interaction had room to happen organically.
What We Loved About Connor and Morgan's Wedding
Peachtree Point offers one of the most beautiful ceremony locations on Lake Lanier Islands.
With panoramic views of the water stretching behind the altar, guests watched as boats slowly passed by throughout the ceremony, creating a peaceful backdrop that felt uniquely North Georgia.
While the scenery was stunning, it was the personal vows that are truly memorable. Morgan and Connor chose to write their own vows, and there wasn't a dry eye in the audience. Those are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.
Beautiful venues create beautiful photographs, but authentic emotion creates lasting memories.
Once everyone moved inside for the reception, the celebration shifted into party mode. One unexpected, and unforgettable guest even made an appearance when Blooper, the Atlanta Braves mascot, joined the party and quickly became a crowd favorite. It was such a fun surprise that had everyone laughing and reaching for their cameras.
It's little moments like these that make every wedding feel uniquely personal and leave guests talking about the celebration long after it's over.

Getting Married at Peachtree Pointe, Lake Lanier Islands?
Peachtree Pointe continues to be one of our favorite venues on Lake Lanier Islands because it offers the best of both worlds. The outdoor ceremony space overlooks the water with incredible views in every direction, while the reception space provides an elegant indoor setting that keeps guests comfortable no matter what Georgia weather decides to do.
From a photographer's perspective, having both environments within a few steps of one another allows the day to flow seamlessly. We can capture romantic portraits overlooking the lake, intimate moments tucked away around the property, and lively reception images without ever feeling rushed or needing to travel between locations.
With our four-person Honeycomb Films team covering both photography and videography, we were able to preserve every perspective of the weekend while allowing Morgan and Connor to stay fully present with the people they love most.
