Welcome to a behind-the-scenes look at our work week as wedding photographers and videographers! We take pride in dedicating our full attention to each couple, ensuring that each client receives the utmost care and quality service throughout their special day.
Prior to the wedding, we invest time in meeting with the couple, usually starting around six months before the big day. These meetings allow us to understand the couple's vision, create a photo/video timeline, and offer assistance in any way we can.
When the wedding arrives, our week kicks off with preparations for the upcoming wedding. The day before the wedding, we charge and pack all our gear, ensuring that we have everything we need to capture every precious moment. For video weddings, our equipment includes multiple cameras, tripods, audio recorders, and an array of lenses and accessories. When we also handle photography, we add extra cameras, lenses, and flash equipment!
On the big day itself, we're up bright and early, ready to document every moment from start to finish. We typically arrive at the venue about 2.5 hours before the bride gets into her dress, allowing us time to set up and capture those intimate getting-ready moments. From there, we're there every step of the way, from pre-ceremony nerves to the exciting send-off!
After the wedding, our work continues as we dive into the editing process. Mondays are dedicated to business tasks, while Tuesdays and Fridays are reserved for editing both photos and videos. Wednesdays are a blend of further editing and continuing education, ensuring that we stay at the top of our game. Thursdays are for meetings, additional projects, and, for me, also for my work as a Disney vacation planner.
To manage the demands of our workload, we've established a routine that allows us to stay organized and focused. By allocating specific tasks to each day of the week, we can ensure that nothing falls through the cracks and that our clients receive the attention they deserve!
During busy seasons, it's natural to feel a bit anxious about meeting deadlines while maintaining quality. However, we prioritize quality over speed, ensuring that each project receives the attention to detail it deserves.
