Photography + Videography | Four Oaks Manor | Buford, Georgia | Summer
There are wedding days that unfold exactly as planned, and then there are wedding days that somehow become even better than anyone imagined. Georgia and Alex's May wedding at Four Oaks Manor in Buford, Georgia was one of those days.
The forecast had called for rain all week, but instead, the clouds cleared just in time for one of the most beautiful spring afternoons. The gardens were the brightest green, every flower was perfection and the trees surrounding the ceremony created the perfect shade for photography and for guests. It was the kind of weather couples hope for when planning an outdoor wedding.
For a venue known for its gardens, it couldn't have been a more fitting day.

Engagement Session
Long before their wedding day, we had the opportunity to photograph Georgia and Alex during their engagement session at the Athens Botanical Garden.
Spending that time together made such a difference once the wedding day arrived. They already knew what to expect in front of the camera, which meant portraits felt natural, relaxed, and genuinely fun. Instead of worrying about posing, they were able to simply enjoy being together.
The Wedding Day
Rather than choosing a single color palette, they filled the day with vibrant florals in every shade imaginable, accented with touches of light blue that brought everything together beautifully. One of the most memorable design elements was the floral work created by Forever Florals. Owned by Georgia's cousin, every arrangement felt incredibly personal while also being thoughtfully designed for the outdoor setting. Even after hours in the spring time heat, every bouquet and installation remained fresh and vibrant. Something we don't always see with outdoor weddings.
The ceremony space became one of our favorite locations to photograph all day. The floral-lined altar created a naturally beautiful backdrop.

What We Loved About Georgia and Alex's Wedding
One of the things that made Georgia and Alex's wedding so emotional was their decision to wait to see one another until the ceremony. Instead of sharing a first look earlier in the day, they chose to save that moment for the walk down the aisle.
Those moments can't be recreated. The smiles, the happy tears, and the quiet excitement between them reminded everyone exactly why so many couples still choose to experience their first look at the ceremony itself!
